A federal court challenge to the Census Bureau’s decision to transmit redistricting data by Sept. 30, 2021, after the statutory Mar. 31, 2021, deadline, and to the intended application of differential privacy, i.e., adding statistical noise to the Census results. Plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction from using differential privacy was denied. The case was dismissed without prejudice on Sept. 9, 2021.
