Order dismissing case
Case Information
A federal challenge to the use of malapportioned 2011-cycle maps for the 2021 state House elections, seeking a truncated (one-year) term for officials elected in 2021 rather than new districts in time for the elections.
On June 6, 2022, the trial court dismissed the claims on standing grounds, as the plaintiff lived in a district with fewer people (and was therefore overrepresented). On Jul. 21, 2022, the appellate court affirmed.
