Order dismissing case
Case Information
A federal court challenge to the Census Bureau’s plans for 2020 Census follow-up, alleging that the plans will cause differential undercounts of communities of color, violating both the prohibition on arbitrary and capricious agency action under the APA and the Enumeration Clause.
On Mar. 18, 2020, the Court rejected the challenges and dismissed the claims, holding that the Census Bureau’s plan shows a reasonable relationship between their efforts and their goal.
