de Gaudemar v. Kosinski

Last Updated May 11, 2022
Case No. 1:22-cv-03534 (S.D.N.Y.)
Cycle 2020

Case Information

A federal court challenge to the redrawing of congressional districts in state court, given the malapportioned 2010-cycle districts, the state court’s schedule, and the associated difficulties with sending ballots to military voters in a timely fashion for the primary without expeditious state court action.  Plaintiffs sought the temporary adoption of the legislature’s 2022 plan.

On May 4, 2022, the court denied a request for a temporary restraining order.  The plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the case on May 11, 2022.
