On May 26, 2026, the trial court declined to issue a preliminary injunction blocking the map; on June 1, 2026, the court of appeal declined to certify proceedings for immediate review by the state supreme court, and on June 10, 2026, the state supreme court declined to hear an emergency writ.  The case now proceeds in the trial court.
