Case Information
A federal court challenge to Executive Order 13880, concerning the collection of citizenship data from administrative records for use in redistricting, as an alleged violation of the Administrative Procedure Act and unconstitutional racial discrimination.
The Plaintiff moved to enjoin the Defendants from stopping census operations prior to Oct. 31, 2020. As the Defendants continued census data collection after the Commerce Departments initial Sept. 30, 2020 deadline the court dismissed the motion as moot.
The case was voluntarily dismissed on April 2, 2021.
