Case Information

A state court petition to extend the deadlines for redistricting in the state constitution, in light of the anticipated delay in the delivery of Census data.

On July 17, 2020, the state Supreme Court granted the petition, and extended state deadlines commensurate with the anticipated Census delay (to Dec. 15, 2021).

In light of additional delays in receiving data, on Sept. 22, 2021, the state Supreme Court extended the Commission’s deadline to Dec. 27, 2021.
