Case Information
A state court challenge to the existing deadlines for redistricting in the state constitution, in light of the anticipated delay in the delivery of Census data.
On July 17, 2020, the state Supreme Court granted the petition, and extended state deadlines commensurate with the anticipated Census delay (to Dec. 15).
On Aug. 20 the Citizens Redistricting Commission petitioned the Court to further extend the deadline to Jan. 14, 2022. On Sept. 22 the state Supreme Court extended the Commission’s deadline to Dec. 27, 2021.
