Case Information

A state challenge to the mid-decade redrawing of congressional districts, alleging that they were re-drawn in violation of a state statute impermissibly repealed during a special session convened for a different purpose.

A hearing was held on May 21, 2026.  On May 26, 2026, a three-judge state court dismissed the challenge, finding several plaintiffs without standing to sue and for the remaining plaintiff, that the state’s action neither violated state statutes nor constitutional limits on the purposes of a special session.
