Case Information
State court challenge to malapportioned congressional districts based on anticipated legislative failure to redraw the lines after a new Census.
On May 12, 2022, the state supreme court declared the existing 2010 congressional map to be unconstitutionally malapportioned, and appointed a Special Master to recommend a new congressional plan based on 2020 census data.
On May 31, 2022, after the legislative session ended without new districts, the court adopted the Special Master’s recommended congressional map.
