Case Information
A state court challenge to the ballot summary for a proposed legislative ballot proposition to amend a citizens’ redistricting initiative.
The petition for relief was granted on 8/17/20; the court rejected the proposed ballot summary as misleading, and substituted a new one. On 8/31/20, the court of appeals agreed that the summary was misleading, but rewrote the summary to be used in November (in more limited changes to the legislature’s language).
