Case Information
A state court challenge to Arkansas’ congressional map. The Plaintiffs allege the congressional map violates the Free and Equal Elections clause (Ark. Const. art. III § 2) and the Equal Protection Clause (Ark. Const. art. II § 3) of the Arkansas Constitution. The challenge was moved to federal court but was remanded on July 13, 2022, for failing to raise a federal question. On remand, the state court dismissed the challenge for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction and concluded that the challenge should be filled in the Arkansas Supreme Court.
