Case Information

A state court challenge to Arkansas’ congressional map, alleging racial vote dilution and intentional racial discrimination against Black voters, under the state constitution.

The state attempted to remove the case to federal court; the federal court remanded the case on July 13, 2022.  On remand, on May 11, 2023, the state court dismissed the challenge, finding that it should have been filed directly in the state Supreme Court.
