State trial ct.
Order striking plan
Case Information
State court challenge to the congressional redistricting plan, alleging a partisan gerrymander impermissible under the state constitution.
On Mar. 25, 2022, the court declared the plan to be an unconstitutional partisan gerrymander, and ordered the General Assembly to enact a new congressional plan by Mar. 30, 2022. Both parties appealed, but dismissed those appeals on Apr. 4, 2022, after the Governor signed a newly drafted plan into law.
