Case Information

State court challenge to state legislative districts. Plaintiff, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, alleges that the Idaho Commission for Reapportionment violates Art. III § 5 of the state constitution because it splits too many counties.

Case was consolidated with Durst v. Denney. The Idaho Supreme Court ultimately upheld the state legislative maps in a unanimous decision on Jan. 27, 2022.
