Case Information

A state court challenge to Pennsylvania’s legislative districts, alleging unnecessary splits of political subdivisions, excessive population deviations, invalid reallocation of the addresses of incarcerated persons, partisan gerrymandering, and both the dilution of minority votes and the unjustified predominant reliance on race.

On Mar. 16, 2022, the court rejected the challenges and dismissed the case.  Rep. Benninghoff petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for certiorari, but on Oct. 31, 2022, that petition was denied.
