Case Information

State court challenge to the congressional redistricting plan, alleging a partisan gerrymander impermissible under the state constitution.

On Mar. 25, 2022, the court declared the plan to be an unconstitutional partisan gerrymander, permanently enjoined its use, and ordered the General Assembly to enact a new congressional plan by Mar. 30, 2022.  Both parties appealed, but dismissed those appeals on Apr. 4, 2022, after the Governor signed a newly drafted plan into law.
