State court challenge seeking to have state legislative redistricting plan declared unconstitutional on the grounds that it violates: compactness and contiguity requirements; constitutional free elections, freedom of speech, and equal protection principles; and the Maryland Constitution’s Purity of Elections Clause.
On April 13, 202 Maryland Court of Appeals issued anĀ order denying all requested relief and upholding the state’s new legislative redistricting plans.
