Case Information

A consolidation of state challenges to the 2011 Alaska Redistricting Board’s redistricting plan. The trial courts enjoined the 2011 plan. The Alaskan Supreme Court held the plan violated the compactness and socio-economic integration standards in the Alaskan Constitution and remanded the plan back to the Alaska Redistricting Board.

In 2012, the Alaskan Supreme Court approved an interim plan for the 2012 election cycle.

In July 2013 the Alaska Redistricting Board adopted the final redistricting plan and the trial court approved the plan in December 2013.
